Managing Diagnostic Log Files

Service diagnostic logs are written to the /logs/diagnostics folder. Logs can accumulate in this folder and eventually consume all space in the VFS. There are two options for managing diagnostic logs:

Disable Diagnostic Logging

Diagnostic logging can be disabled disabled from the General Settings section of the Control Panel. When Diagnostic Logging is disabled, logs will not be created even if services are configured with Diagnostic Logging turned on. Since Diagnostic Logging seriously degrades performance, it should always be disabled in production environments. For more information refer to General Settings.

Configure Log File Size and Retention

When configuring Diagnostic Logging, configure specific log file size and retention parameters. When these parameters are configured Diagnostic Logs space consumption is automatically limited. For more information refer to Service Diagnostics
