Managing Intermediate Certificates

Some Certificate Authorities require that a server present intermediate certificates along with the signed server certificate in order to establish a chain of trust for the server certificate.

Install an intermediate certificate chain

Paste the intermediate certificate into the Intermediate Certificates field or click Choose File and browse for the file that contains the intermediate certificate. Click the Install button to install the intermediate certificate. If your CA provides multiple certificates, known as a certificate chain, install all certificates at once. Multiple certificates should be ordered from lowest to highest authority. For example, given the following certificate path chain:

The certificate for "COMODO RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA" would appear before "COMODO RSA Certificate Authority" in the certificate order.
